Couples contact us at all stages of planning. When this bride called, she was hoping for a winter wedding in Lake Tahoe, but didn't have a date. The only really complication was that her fiance was away with the military and didn't have a set return date. After many correspondences over the next couples months, Ryan's return date was set in stone and planning could begin. This left us with a tight schedule and a lot to do. We toured venues in late December and had a beautiful intimate wedding March 7th. Although the planning timeline was tight, we were able to create a beautiful day with the couple.
The lovely intimate winter wedding took place at the West Shore Cafe in Lake Tahoe, CA. In addition to the time crunch, we also had the weather to contend with. Although the bride would have preferred more snow as is typical in March at Lake Tahoe, the warmer temperatures allowed guests to comfortably relax by the outdoor fire pits for cocktail hour and even after dinner. It was such a pleasure to work with this wonderful couple to plan what I hope was their dream wedding day.
Guests kept warm throughout the chilly outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour with fleece blanket wedding favors. |
Each guest signed the mat around this vintage feeling ski print. |
Guests enjoyed cocktails and appetizers while they warmed by the fire on the patio overlooking Lake Tahoe. |
Handwritten place cards and sprigs of cedar adorned each guests place setting. |
Special thanks to Jade Studios for the beautiful photos and most of all to Ashley and Ryan!
