Take the Cake Events: Rustic Turquoise Wedding at Historic Verdi Power Plant

Occasionally we get a wedding that takes place in a venue completely unique to the couple. This rustic wedding with turquoise accents is probably our most interesting. It took place at the bride's father's place of work, a historic hydro electric power plant along the Truckee River in Verdi, CA at the base of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. It may sound like an unlikely wedding venue, but the combination of the rustic historic building, flowing river, and lush greenery around the property created a beautiful backdrop for the couple's big day.

The couple combined cowboy attire with beautiful florals and an elegant bridal gown to create a classy and comfortable rustic wedding. Guests danced under the stars well into the night and there was no doubt this was a party everyone enjoyed.

It was a pleasure to work with the couple and their families to plan this beautiful day and wonderful to see the amazing photos.
